Phenological Assessment for Agronomic Suitability of Some Agastache Species Based on Standardized BBCH Scale

Increasing interest in medicinal plants encourages the growers to consider extending their range of cultivated species. Acclimatization and adaptation species introduced for cultivation new areas remain a challenge modern agriculture. One first steps optimizing technology is determining plant phenology local conditions. Therefore, aim this research was provide standardized scale Agastache sp. apply it assessing suitability environment some valuable species: scrophulariifolia, rugosa, mexicana, foeniculum rugosa ‘After Eight’. During vegetation period, nine growth stages were identified: germination/emergence, leaf development, formation side shoots, stem elongation, inflorescence emergence, flowering, fruit maturity, senescence beginning resting. Observations conducted over two years revealed that period increased from 168.8 ± 3.51 days year 199.0 1.82 second year. In both periods, flowering phenophase predominated, but abundance precipitations shortened duration The phenophases highly influenced by growing degree days. Phenological assessment based on can be useful tool evaluating potential planning technological resources.
